Welcome Letter

The Goal:

To be able to play music with others. Beyond that, your goals are up to you – the world of music awaits.

Materials Needed:

Not necessary for your first lesson, but get these as soon as you can:

For anyone local to Denver – a good place to buy any/all of this stuff is the Denver Folklore Center. I have been sending my students there for years, and they are always super helpful.

Expectations:

Lessons are more rewarding and fun if you see yourself making progress. This will happen only if you make space in your life and your schedule for this new pursuit. I’m in this to dive head-first into this new pursuit with you, so if you don’t think you’ll be able to regularly make the time to practice, another teacher might be a better fit.

Lessonface:

All scheduling and billing will be handled through Lessonface. It’s simple and hassle-free to set up your lessons this way. If you plan to have a regular lesson time, I encourage you to use the “subscription” option when signing up for lessons.

Note – It’s ALWAYS a good idea check your Lessonface schedule before your lesson in the rare instance you weren’t notified by me or Lessonface about a schedule change.

Cancellation Policy:

Any cancellations within 24 hours will be charged as a full lesson. Prior notice allows me time to find another student to fill your lesson slot for the week. The more notice, the better.

Thank you for including me in your musical pursuits. I’m looking forward to seeing what you can accomplish!
